A complicated Sunday for Saint-Etienne's U19Ns, who were soundly beaten by Rodez (3-0).
It was an unlucky Sunday for the St Etienne U19Ns, who travelled to Rodez for the 17th round of league matches. A week after beating Nice, the Greens were hampered by a number of absentees, and were unable to find a solution against the RAF. Punished, Frédéric Dugand's boys were reduced to 10 men in the 76th minute, and left Aveyron with a heavy 3-0 defeat.
In two weeks' time, they will have to raise their game against Monaco.
“I can't say that the players didn't make the effort, nor that they weren't in the spirit of the game. But we were monotonous, too much on the same rhythm. I often say it, but once again: we have no margin in this group,” commented Frédéric Dugand.
